Starting up CHAT

If you want to start up CHAT, you simply enter the chat in an UNIX-shell. After a while, you should get a Launcher-window that look as the window shown below:

The Launcher dialog window consists of three main parts: The Button menu, Status displayer and Connected to displayer. The Status displayer shows ACM status (Automatic Actions are enabled/disabled) and if new messages are coming in. The Connected to displayer shows what database you're connected to (if any).
If you're going to use CHAT for the first time, you must choose Create workspace from the Button menu. This action will let you create a new root-workspace. If you want to connect to a already created workspace, choose Connect workspace.

Note: If you want to work with more that one workspace at a time, you can start both workspaces from the same launcher.
