F F1 Racing Simulation -------------------- GameTips -------- Tip 1: ------ For extra speed in qualifying, take advantage of the "qualifying engine" option provided in the garage menu. Selecting a high RPM redline will give more speed and acceleration at the expense of reliability. Be sure to switch back before the race. Tip 2: ------ Keep your brakes applied on the start line until the red lights go out. The car has a bad habit of rolling forward on some circuits and bringing a false start violation down on you. Tip 3: ------ F1 cars have extraordinarily powerful brakes and this is accurately modeled in F1RS. You can brake much deeper for most corners than you might think, so practice, practice, practice. Tip 4: ------ Hitch a ride with one of the faster computer cars (Schumacher and Alesi are always good bets) by hitting the Page Up or Page Down key and then by closely studying their driving techniques. Valuable gearing setups and braking points can be learned this way. Tip 5: ------ The best method of improving the problem of poor frame rate at the start of races (when the screen is crowded with other cars) on a lower-end machine is to reduce the number of competitors. Halving the number of competitors from 21 to 11 can increase the fps on a P133 by a huge margin. (Switching off the replay is also effective.) Tip 6: ------ If you're holding on to pole position by a narrow margin, you can be a real poor sport about it and go park your car out on the middle of the track. You won't be towed away and the computer-driven cars will lift off their throttles enough to cost them half a second per lap as they maneuver around you. (I could've sworn I saw Berger give me the finger.) F-22 Air Dominance Fighter -------------------------- Invulnerability --------------- Hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift-Home simultaneously. Full in-air refuel and reload ----------------------------- Hold down Ctrl-Alt-Shift-Insert simultaneously. GameTips -------- Tip 1: ------ In missions where you're swarmed by enemy aircraft, let your wingmen do the lion's share of the work. Tip 2: ------ You can maintain stealth longer by switching to manual EMCON and keeping yourself set at EMCON 1. Tip 3: ------ To get your wingmen to attack ground targets, be sure you're in air-to-ground mode with a target locked before you issue the "engage my target" command (the M key). F-22 LIGHTNING 3 Cheat Codes: ------------ During the game hit Ctrl-Enter, type in one of the following phrases and hit Enter again. the truth is out there - unlimited ammo fight the future - replenish ammo trust no one - invincible black oil - refuel i want to believe - no crash this isn't happening - heal ghostpit - invisible plane (just like Wonder Woman!) Falcon 4.0 ---------- GameTips -------- Tip 1: ------ Successful landings require enough speed for a soft touchdown; keep your speed high enough (between 160 and 200 knots) for a low angle of attack and vertical velocity. Tip 2: ------ Think of Sidewinders as very short-range weapons; in Falcon 4.0, they're definitely for enemies you can see clearly. Tip 3: ------ When playing through the tutorials, also consult the reference section regarding what you're learning; Falcon 4.0 is best conquered in large chunks. Tip 4: ------ Make liberal use of the AWACS "Declare" command to keep track of which radar returns are friendly and which are hostile. FALLOUT 2 --------- All your weapons can be upgraded for free! ------------------------------------------ Go into the basement of New Reno Arms (Behind the bookshelves) talk nicely to The idiot you'll find there and he'll upgrade your weapons for free. It is in New Reno after you beat the game. To get it you must talk to Father Tulley. He will say your a hero. He will give you this book and you need to read it. Good start ---------- For a bunch of cool weapons and stuff near the beginning of the game, hunt around for a random encounter. When you find one, search for a cave entrance and go inside. There should be either geckos or bandits in high quantities. Once, after killing a load of female bandits, i got a bunch of money, guns, and 3 pairs of plated gloves! Also, in Redding, you can get a bunch of money by talking to the red-text dealer and betting $100 every time, and by looting the room behind the cash guy in the same casino. Free weapons ------------ Go to San Francisco and talk to brotherhood of steal guy and then go up to navero and kill guy in purple robe and got inside building and enter base talk to big guy and say your a recruit he will let you in storage and you can take anything you want in lockers!! Kill mutants easy ----------------- It's in NCR, where the doctor tells you to prove the antidote for the mutants, after you prove the first one on any mutant, you go back and he'll give you the dog, talk to him again and he'll give you the antidote again (this is a good way to kill all the mutants of Broken Hills). ---------------------------------------------------------- HexCheat 1 ---------- First, start a new game and choose a custom character. Save that characters blank sheet to whatever and edit it with a hex editor. After the line with zeros and a 19 theres a huge range of zeros. Change all those zeros to 20. This makes the character 300 at every attribute. Move on to the last 2 00s. Change this to 37 or 36 not sure. It will give u 36 things to add to ur strength intell, ect... make sure u have the right ammount because u have to use all of them. HexCheat 2 ---------- When you create a new character in Fallout2 spend the char points and save the character. The get the newly created ".gcd" file and open it with a hexeditor. Change the following lines to "0A" (for 10 - maximum possible here): Offset - Byteaddress - Type --------------------------- 0 - 8 - ST 10 - 2 - PE 10 - 6 - EN 10 - 10 - CH 20 - 4 - IN 20 - 8 - AG 30 - 2 - LK Voila, all you characteristics are on 10 and that increases the skills as well. Fallout 2 --------- GameTips -------- Tip 1 ----- When generating a character, try to avoid reducing any stats below five except perhaps luck. Average is as low as you can safely go in such a combat- intensive game. Tip 2 ----- To pick up the lucrative ability to skin geckos, make sure to talk to the trapper you rescue outside Kalmath when he gets back to town. Tip 3 ----- Killing a president should always be done quietly. Walk up to him, get out of the conversation as quickly and politely as possible, and then inject him with eight super stimpacks. Waste ten minutes, and when you check the head fascist, he should be gone. Then you'll get his vital pass key. FIFA '99 -------------- Play as Atlanta Attack ---------------------------------- To play as the Atlanta Attack, beat the Champions Cup with Brazil on Professional level. Find Ronaldo --------------------- Ronaldo is G. Silva on the Inter Milan Team Winter Intro ------------------ Type "WIN" repeatedly while the game loads Tip 1 -------- There's something deadly about corner kicks taken low and very hard, almost straight across the dead ball line. To enhance your chances of success, make sure you move a man close to the near post, right in front of the goalkeeper. Once the corner is taken, punch the shoot button and you may just find the ball squeaking between goalie and post. And if that doesn't make it in, look for a tasty rebound. We estimate a 25 percent success ratio with this play (at the Professional level, no less). Tip 2 --------- Taking a cue from tip 1, late crosses from extremely deep in the corner are one of the surest ways of setting up scoring opportunities, especially if you've placed four or five players up front. This is even more applicable in FIFA 99 than in previous versions, simply because CPU- controlled players now move more aggressively to open spots. Tip 3 -------- Wanna win in World Class mode? Then get a handle on the advanced Skill modes available on buttons 7 and 8 of the controller. Of course, it almost goes without saying that an eight-button gamepad is no longer a luxury for this game. Tip 3 -------- Remembering tip 3, pay careful attention to the Flick-over and the Step-over Nutmeg. These advanced moves will get both your player and the ball up and over an attacker's slide tackle, something you'll have to do all the time in the difficult Professional and World Class modes. Tip 4 -------- The frequency of good scoring chances multiplies with increased offensive zone possession. In other words, keep the ball in the other team's half of the field and you'll get more than your share of goals and scoring opportunities. Tip 5 -------- Altering team strategies constantly throughout a match will throw the opposition into some disarray. Again, you'll need an eight-button pad because you can't even access FIFA's In-Game Management utility with a two- or four-button controller. Tip 6 -------- Several cameras offer a better look at the beautiful players EA has created for FIFA 99, but the F8 overhead view gives you the widest read of the proceedings, a necessity for intelligent play composition. When looking for power switches to open gates, don't forget to blow up statues; they frequently hide the switches. 2. You don't have to kill everything to complete the single-player missions; know when to conserve your ammo for the big bosses near the end of the levels. 3. In multiplayer games, you don't have to grab every neutral turret to win. Pick one route into the enemy fortress, keep it clear, and be sure to escort your hovertanks. |
