=============================== FastTrak Utilities Installation =============================== There are 3 components of the FastTrak Utility. 1. FastCheck 2. FastTrak Log Service for NT 2. FastTrak DMI Service for NT The FastCheck utility is used to monitor or perform maintenance on a FastTrak Mirrored (RAID 1) or Striped/Mirrored (RAID 0/1) array. Visual and audible messages are available to warn of possible problems with the disk array or controller. This utility runs under Windows 95, Windows NT 3.51, and Windows NT 4.0. The FastTrak Log Service runs as a background service process under Windows NT, and performs the logging operations to the NT Event Log. This can be used in Server operations, where a user may not be logged in, and the interactive FastCheck utility may not be running. The FastTrak DMI Service runs as a background service process under Windows NT, and allows the FastTrak to be seen as a component under DMI 2.0 ready systems. The FastTrak DMI Service requires a DMI Service Provider to be installed in order to run. FASTCHEC.TXT contains instructions on using the FastCheck utility. ============ Installation ============ From the Start Button, choose the Run button.
