What's inside in this document (1)Precautions (2)Additional information regarding audio capture (3)Registered trademarks (4)Revision Dates (1)Precautions 1-1 When switching on/off your PC When you are connecting an audio device to the DA-Port output, please lower the volume setting on that device when switching your PC on/off, or disconnecting the DA-Port unit. 1-2 Registering file types When you install the YAMAHA SoftSynthesizer S-YXG100, setup will ask if you want to open MIDI files using the XGPlayer. If you wish to use the XGPlayer when you open MIDI files, click Yes. If you want to use the Digital Sound Deck of the DA-Port, click No. If you want to set the player to Digital Sound Deck after setting it to XGPlayer, please run the DA-Port USB setup again. (2)Additional information regarding audio capture When you want to capture exactly from the music start, please follow the below steps: 1. Pause the audio source at where you wish to start recording. 2. Right click on the Digital Sound Deck and select "Auto Recording" from the list menu. 3. Click the Record button. The display will show"Rec Pause (file name)". 4. Click the Pause button. "The display will show"Rec Standby (file name)". 5. Start the audio source playback. Recording will start automatically. 6. When the music ends, recording will also stop automatically. 7. If you start playback again, recording will also restart (to a new file). A different version number may be given to separate applications or drivers. ------------------------------------ Version 1.00 Release: 1998/10/15 ------------------------------------ First release. ------------------------------------ Version 1.01 Release: 1998/11/16 ------------------------------------ Fixed errors: [Digital Sound Deck] - When file and playlist is in the same file folder, the playlist did not show properly when the folder was renamed. - The power management setting showed even when DA-Port is not connected. - When an another active window hides the audio level meter and shows it again, the level meter was not displayed. - Sometimes showed on top. even when "Always show on top" option is not selected. - When the desktop shortcut icon is clicked when the application is already running, the window was not turned active. - Some MIDI file titles did not match the titles shown in YXG-100. - If you erase a title in the playlist while playing, the marker does not show. - Audio captured using the Plextor CD-ROM utility "Plextor Manager 96" was not compatible with the MPEG Audio Converter. New Features: [Digital Sound Deck] - Pause button toggles during Rec pause. - Opens the most recently opened file folder when selecting a new title. Changed: [Digital Sound Deck] - Shows a confirmation window when you click the new playlist button. - Changed the interval between titles to 4 seconds (previously 2 seconds). - Added DAT support in the "record to separate tracks function". - Added new bit rates to the MPEG audio format. ------------------------------------ Version 1.02 Release: 1999/04/01 ------------------------------------ Fixed errors: [Digital Sound Deck] Can't move the position bar beyond 74 minutes when the audio file is larger than 74 minutes. Can't save the file name at the root folder. Can't set the file name correctly when the "My Document" folder is in the drive root folder. Can't playback some MPEG files. (Added features) Cancel the recording automatically when the CPU speed warning showed at the start. The recording automatically ends when the file size reaches 2GB. [MPEG Converter] No messages appeared when J-Stero format was selected in MPEG Layer 3. (J-Stereo is not supported) Can't convert some MPEG files.
