SIS Installation Utility

      1. Under "IDE DEVICE DRIVER INSTALL UTILITY", user can install SiS
         IDE DOS/WINDOWS/Windows for Workgroup/Netware Driver directly
         from according "INSTALL DRIVER" menu.

      2. Under "IDE DEVICE DRIVER INSTALL UTILITY", user can read installa-
         tion procedures for SiS IDE Windows NT/OS2/Sco-Unix Driver from
         according "INSTALL DRIVER" menu.

      3. If  user need to set wait state manually in config.sys,
         notice that :
         Disk Mode   |     4     3     2     1     0
         Wait State  |     0     1     3     5     7

      4. SiS IDE Driver Installation For Windows 95
         Windows 95 provides a "Standard IDE/ESDI Hard Disk Controller" in
         Windows 95's packages. This controller can apply to SiS 496 chip-
         set with 32-bit access and good performance. Due to SiS 496 chip-
         set is standard VL bus IDE controller. Users don't have to install
         other IDE Driver on SiS 496 base Main Board.

Q & A :

1.      How to use 32-bit file access for HD and CD-ROM working at the
        same channel in WFW 3.11 environment ?
Ans:    It is a limitation of the system. You should either put the
        devices in different channel or turn the 32-bit file access off.
