What is Look@Me? 
Look@Me is a FREE real-time Internet collaboration tool allowing 
you to do things like edit documents, go over presentations, 
review graphics, or provide just-in-time training and support.  
Either as a standalone applet, or right from within Netscape 
Navigator, you can watch the activity taking place by another 
Look@Me user.  Based on the Farallon's Timbuktu Pro for Networks - 
Windows Edition, Look@Me showcases the Observe screen sharing 
feature of Timbuktu Pro, optimized for use over the Internet.  
 
Why would someone use Look@Me? 
Look@Me helps you expand your use of the Internet beyond web 
browsing and email.  Look@Me is a real-time Internet collaboration 
tool allowing you to do things like edit documents, go over 
presentations, review graphics, or provide just-in-time training 
and support.  With Look@Me people can work together anywhere in 
the world.  
 
Collaboration with people on the Internet - People can connect to 
other Internet users to collaborate on projects in real time.  
Look@Me users can view any user with Look@Me or Timbuktu Pro on 
either a Windows PC or a Macintosh. 
 
Support Internet users, to troubleshoot and fix problems - Look@Me 
allows the support professional to quickly and easily support a 
remote Internet user.

What operating system(s) does Look@Me support? 
The Look@Me for Windows (Beta version) comes in two flavors; 
Windows95 version, a standalone applet and Netscape Navigator 
plug-in 
Windows 3.X version, a standalone applet (plug-in not currently 
available)

How is Look@Me different than Timbuktu Pro? 
Timbuktu Pro is a full featured Internet and Intranet 
Collaboration tool.  It combines both Remote Control and Remote 
access in a single product.  With Timbuktu Pro a user can  
Collaborate with Control and Observe features.  Timbuktu Pro also 
contains flexible Internet and Intranet file transfer by allowing 
the user to send FlashNotes with attached file or exchange files 
with any other user running Timbuktu Pro for Networks, either  
Windows or Macintosh. Timbuktu Pro supports TCP/IP and IPX 
protocols. It ships with Shiva remote node software that will 
allow you to connect to any PPP server to gain access to the 
network and use Timbuktu Pro over the remote link. Timbuktu Pro 
has full featured security with registered user and password 
support.   Timbuktu Pro has both personal and shared address books 
that allow the user to stored frequently used connections, whereas 
Look@Me only keeps a record of the last few connections.   In  
comparison Look@Me has only one feature of Timbuktu Pro, the 
ability to observe the screen of another Look@Me or Timbuktu Pro 
user in addition Look@Me only supports the TCP/IP protocol.
