If you are quite happy with the desktop that M$ supplied then
it is of no use whatsoever. If however, you are dissatisified
with it and would like to be able to change it not only in style
but in content then look no further. You can have personalised
pages that look just like web pages. It could reflect your own
interests just like having your own home page residing on the
local drive. It could be 'themed' for the kids with a desktop
icon that can launch pages for any particular member of the
family. Or it could be themed depending on the time of year such
as Christmas and Easter. It can be built with graphics, sound,
video and pages of help that look exciting and can be easily
customised using any of the availble web page editors (some are
even free). Your desktop need never be the same again.
