ANS2AVT Revision history: 2.10 This is the first medium upgrade. Among the first things you most likely notice is that the conversion status display has been improved. Also, thanks to a reminder from a user, I have added wildcard support! NOTE: I have changed the action of the -n switch. It now enables the addition of a clear screen code instead of disabling it. Among other things there is a speed improvement, although it is too slight to notice on any fast computer. 2.08 Limited release. I corrected a bug caused by having a relative cursor movement command on the first line of the ANSI file. (at least I thought I did). 2.07 IMPORTANT! A Major Bug which only shows up while converting large files, depending upon your computer's configuration has been fixed. All copies of version 2.06 should be deleted, as this bug will create randomly bad Avatar files. It had to do with the new dynamic input buffer which has been switched back to a static buffer. This was the only change. 2.06 Fixed a buglet in the RLE compression, allowing for an extra character to be saved. The compression will be greatest when run with at least twice as much memory as the ANSI file size available. 2.05 Maintenance. Added buffered output. Not released. 2.04 Fixed all known bugs, ao that ANSI files with ^Y characters within them would convert correctly. 2.03 Fixed bug when converting ANSI files with the ^V character in them. They will convert now. 2.02 Maintenance release. No significant changes. 2.01 First public release. 1.00 Very slow, and buggy. Not released.
