[About The Guide]
NO FREE SPACE TO VERIFY FAT TABLES
Occurs on: 68, 86, and 286.
Meaning: This error occurs if the booting file server does not have
enough available dynamic memory to compare the two copies of
the FAT tables on a volume to ensure that they are the same.
This is not a fatal error and the server will continue to boot
as normal except that there is no guarantee that the primary
and secondary (mirror) FAT tables match.
Cause: File server does not have enough dynamic memory available to it.
This error could also be generated as a result of a failure in
high memory which would cause the file server to think that it
has less memory installed.
Solution: If using a 68B server, run SYSED and increase the amount of
dynamic memory available for use by the server. Test the
memory to ensure that it is good. If necessary, add more
memory to the file server.
If using other than a 68B server, check that the memory is good. If
no problems are found, add more memory to the file server.
