ALIAS()

    ALIAS() returns the alias of the specified work area.

Syntax

    ALIAS([exp N])

Argument

    <expN> is the number of the specified work area.

Returns

    A character string.

    If no argument is specified, the alias of the current work area is
    returned.  If a numeric argument is specified, the alias of that area
    is returned.  If there is no database file in USE, ALIAS() returns a
    null string ("").
