Title : The Junk Yard Filename : Junkyard.map Author : Justin G Gutt Email address : Gutt@popd.ix.netcom.com Misc. Author info : I'm one of the many level editors out there that had been waiting for Duke Nukem almost 5 months. Sure, it wasn't as long as Mechwarrior, but I won't ever believe any PC game release dates anymore. So far, this is my first released DN3D level, although I have made about 6 others. Description : This level is an supremely detailed representation of a crowded Junk Yard chock full of useless crap: Video games, contruction materials, dumpters, cars, explosives, a car crusher, an underwater passage, and a secret control center inside a mysterious sentinel. I removed most weapons from the junkyard simply because heavy guns wouldn't work there. It's the dream of a shotgun lover, as it will be the weapon of choice. But there are also a lot of pipebombs and tripmines. Get ready to bumble. Tips: Remember that the pistol works well at long range, the only way to not get hit by it is to hide. Use it for sniping. To use the shotgun, you need to chase your opponent into range and lay waste. Pipebombs can be used as grenades or mines to drop behind you. Tripmines work well in dumpsters. Finally, if you can't unlock the door to the sentinel, look for a bloody hand switch. Additional credits to : everybody at 3D realms and apogee. Thanks to LL and AHB for some great levels. My friends for help and playtesting: Stephen Tritton: The smashed car Chris Marshall: The video game. Erik Smith: A great deal of frustrating dukematch. ========================================================================= * Play Information * Episode and Level # : Who put this here?
