Specifies whether you want to connect to the Internet through a proxy server on your local area network (LAN).
A proxy server acts as a security barrier between your internal network (intranet) and the Internet, keeping other people on the Internet from gaining access to confidential information on your internal network or your computer.
These provide spaces for you to type the address and port number of the proxy server you want to use to access the Internet.
Click this to specify your proxy server settings.
Specifies whether you want to use the proxy server for all local (intranet) addresses. Because a proxy server acts as a security barrier between your internal network (intranet) and the Internet, you could need extra permissions from your system administrator to gain access to Web pages through a proxy server. You might be able to gain access to local addresses easier and faster if you do not use the proxy server.
