To configure your computer to use a proxy server for Internet access

1. Obtain the proxy system address from your system administrator.

2. On the View menu, click Internet Options.

3. Click the Connection tab.

4. In the Proxy server area, select the Connect using a proxy server check box.

5. Click Advanced, and then type the appropriate proxy server address or addresses.

Notes

• Internet Explorer works only with proxy servers that are compliant with the CERN proxy server standard.
