The text shows the exact size. Swap: Currently swapped bytes in relation to the size of the swapfile. The text shows the exact amount of swapped bytes. Mem: Used physical memory in relation to the total amount of physical memory in your computer. The text shows the exact amount of free physical memory. CPU: CPU usage in the last 1.5 minutes is being shown graphically. Additionally the current CPU usage is displayed as text. R/W: The current read/write rates of the hard disks in your system. Resources: GDI: percentage of available GDI-resources User: percentage of available User-resources CPU: CPU usage (same as above) C:-Z: Used space on the corresponding drive relative to the size of this drive. The text shows the free space. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Configuration Dialog ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Display-Sheet Here you can enable or disable all of the above described resource- meters. Enable 'show net-drives' to display net drives as well. Colors-Sheet Choose your favorite color for any of the above described resource- meters. Alignment-Sheet Here you can configure how the drives of your hard disk(s) will be displayed: 'Each drive on its own': For each drive the free space will be displayed relative to the size of that particular drive. 'Free space proportional to largest drive': The free space from all drives is displayed relative to the largest drive. So you can compare the free space much better. 'Proportional to largest drive (left)': The used and the free space of each drive will be displayed proportional to the biggest drive in your system. Therefore the bars for the smaller drives get smaller too, and the remaining space will be 'filled' with a third color. If you choose 'left', it will be filled at the right side and so you can compare the used space on the left side. 'Proportional to largest drive (right)': Same as above, with the only difference that the bars of the smaller drives will be aligned at the right side. If you choose 'right', it will be filled at the left side and so you can compare the free space on the right side. Drives-Sheet Choose the drives to be displayed. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Problem Solving ----------------------------------------------------------------------- MemSnoop 32 is covered by other windows. -> press CTRL+Alt+Shift+S You have problems with special drives or net drives. -> Disable 'Show net-drives' in Configuration: Display Disable the corresponding drive in Configuration: Drives You have disabled all displays and now you can't find MemSnoop 32 on your monitor. -> That was not very clever! Delete the file MemSnoop32.INI. Watch out! If you do so, the colors you have set will be lost. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Malte Borsum Ohrberg 14 (D) 30982 Hannover borsum@stud.uni-hannover.de HTTP://www.stud.uni-hannover.de/~borsum/memsnoop32.html
