Process Information Tool for OS/2 Copyright 1996,97 Antony T Curtis Usage: PS [ -opt ] [ PID | Name | sec ] -u Show processes (default) -p Timed monitoring (default 2sec) -c Continous monitoring -r System Status -k Kill process -9 XF86SUP Kill process This is a simple tool which I use oftern and it is available for use as freeware. Usual warranty - none. It is supplied as is. No mods allowed. One version supplied, two modes: PS.EXE - Normal process calc - does not include PMSHELL.EXE. PSA.EXE - Includes PMSHELL.EXE. Recommend the use of PS.EXE - If you use TVFS, you can just keep one executable but have it accessable by both names PSA and PS. Continous monitering updates every second - hit Escape to exit. System Status displays basic stats such as Uptime, number of processes and threads, and some memory stats. The -XF86SUP Kill requires Holger Veit's XF86SUP.SYS to be installed in the CONFIG.SYS - If you use XFree86/OS2, you already have it. One can say this tool is similar to TOP, but is command line. nb: Uptime overflows after about 50 days... Regards Antony. email: antony.curtis@olcs.net ssu95atc@reading.ac.uk
