The files enclosed with this ZIP file contain Solution Technology's product
called ReView for OS/2.

ReView is an OS/2 PM based, easy to use document imaging system.  ReView can
be used for scanning, viewing, indexing and retrieving of scanned documents.

This demo has the working features of the program with some features disabled.
The disabled features are displayed when you start ReView.

ReView is based on a Folder, Document system.  The full version will allow an
unlimited number of Folders with up to 512 Documents per Folder and up to 1,000
scanned images (pages) per Document.  The demo will allow you to create up to
5 Folders and up to 10 Documents within each folder.

****************************INSTALLATION****************************

To install ReView, copy the unzipped files to a directory (REVIEW).

Then after starting ReView, go to the Administration function on the menu bar
and select Configure.  Select the drive where you want the documents, index, 
and the temporary directory to exist.

ReView will then create a directory called INDEX for the database, IMAGES
for the stored Folders and Documents and REV_TEMP for the temporary storage of
images while scanning.  The temporary directory is available in case os system
crash or power loss, it will preserve the scanned images that where not saved
or stored.

To start the demo type REVDEMO in an OS/2 window pointing to the directory
that you copied the files too.

ReView is now ready for use.  The demo does not allow you to scan images, but
will allow you to import existing file formats and then save them as a 
document. ReView will accept bi-level images as well as color to 24 bit. 

Bi-level images are stored in document form as TIFF G4 and mixed bi-level and
color or color images alone are stored as DCX.

This version of ReView is 1.0.  The suggested retail price is $299.00 U.S.

Solution Technology will have an upgrade release of ReView by early to mid 
summer, with many added features, including scanner choices such as Epson, 
Bell & Howell, Fujitsu, Hewlett Packard, Microtek and others. There will be
enhanced search features and additional network capabilities along with
network licensing. 

Customers who purchase and register ReView will receive the feature upgrade
at no cost.
