Switch Set on Thinkpads to enable infra-red connectivity:
Enable one of the serial port along with the IRA device.  Make sure that
the interrupts are not in conflict.

Distance the infra-red rays cover without error is 3 meters for the larger
panels (back of the 755 series thinkpads).
The infra-red front panels on the 755 series thinkpads cover only 1 meter
distance.

The infra-red rays travel in 30 degree angle so the infra-red panels should
face each other within the 30 degree angle.  Due to reflections it would
work even they are not within the 30 degree angle if the distance between
them are less than the specified limit (1 meter or 3 meter depending on the
infra-red panels).

To enable traces, the os2tracemask need to be set to a value greater than 0
under IRDNDIS_nif section in PROTOCOL.INI file under IBMCOM subdirectory.

NETBIOS AND LAN SERVER TUNING

Due to the speed differences between LAN adapters and the parallel port, the
following changes to configuration files need to be made to use this MAC:

1.In PROTOCOL.INI (located in the IBMCOM directory on the drive where MPTN
  is installed)
