I am trying to get it to work under OS/2. It will run without sound, but it crashes when attempting to auto-detect. John Hong, in his FAQ (1997) lists the game as running OS/2. So it should be possible. I assume it needs changes to the DOS settings. Rather than go through all variations of the setting, I was hoping someone out there may have been successfull in getting the game running. Thanks, Nigel. --- WtrGate+ v0.93.p7 sn 165 * Origin: Usenet: Global Network Services - Remote Access Mail & Ne (1:109/42) +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ From: itsme@oz-online.net 09-Oct-99 21:44:00 To: All 10-Oct-99 03:23:18 Subj: Re: Kingdom O Magic From: "Dawn Thorne" Never heard of it...who makes the game? Allot of older DOS games have fixes at their site that help. Also Just working with the Ram settings in OS/2 help allot. I have one and use the heck out of it in OS/2. I have an AWE 32 (Soon to gone) and it works great playing games such as Magic Carpet 2, Hi Octane, Nascar 2, etc. It's both Digital and Analog. I think it's only 40 bucks also. Good solid grip and heavy base. I tried ordering it from Stardock last month and apparently it was discontinued. I need it for personal academic use (supporting a secondary school economics class), so it would probably be "fair use" if I could copy it now that it is no longer a commercial product (if there is anyone in Baltimore-Washington with a copy). Any chance it will end up on Hobbes with other software that has been discontinued. --- WtrGate+ v0.93.p7 sn 165 * Origin: Usenet: Library of Congress (1:109/42) +----------------------------------------------------------------------------+ From: christian.hennecke@ruhr-uni-boch... 15-Oct-99 21:18:25 To: All 15-Oct-99 21:58:14 Subj: Re: Entrepreneur Message sender: christian.hennecke@ruhr-uni-bochum.de From: Christian Hennecke Aaron Kuperman schrieb: > > Is Entrepreneur available? Well, if Brad Wardell finishes it there will be FUD for OS/2 as a successor to Entrepreneur which will be free for Entrepreneur owners. You may also have a look at the web-pages of Indelible Blue, BMT Micro (?) and Mensys. Maybe they still have some copies. OR go to Warpstock! I bet there will be tons of cheap copies as at Warpstock Europe. Christian Hennecke -- Keep passing the open windows!
