Object WorkFrame 2.0.1 (Shareware-version) ====================== This package contains the Object WorkFrame 2.0 including some fixes. The following problems are fixed: - missing DLL - problems with menu-setup Contents -------- 1. What is "Object WorkFrame"? 2. How to install Object WorkFrame 3. First steps 4. Restrictions in the shareware-version 5. License 1. What is "Object WorkFrame"? ------------------------------ Object WorkFrame is a workframe for C/C++- and HTML-developers. You can configure Object WorkFrame in a very wide range, e.g. invoke your development tools to the main menu, popup menu and/or to the programs toolbar (Samples which show how to invoke Visual Age C++ and EMX/GCC are included). Object WorkFrame contains a C++ class parser/browser which shows you the derivation of classes and theire public/protected/private functions. A tool to create makefiles is also contained. Object WorkFrame works compiler-independent with compiler-inifiles, inifiles for EMX/GCC, VisualAge C++ and Watcom C/C++ are shiped with this package. To get full access to the functionality of Object WorkFrame you should use an editor which supports DDE (EPM 6.x or Mr. Ed 1.1.6 are recomended). Object WorkFrame needs OS/2 Warp 3 or higher, HPFS-drive recommended. 2. How to install Object WorkFrame ---------------------------------- 1. If the files are ziped, unzip them to an EMPTY temporary directory. 2. Copy the DLLs of the package to a directory of your LIBPATH, eg. X:\os2\apps\dll where X is your bootdrive. 3. Open the command line and start "install.cmd". If you are asked enter the paths where to install Object Workframe to. 4. If Object WorkFrame is installed successfuly a program-icon appears on your workplace and a new template resides in your template-folder. 3. First steps -------------- Object WorkFrame works only with desktop-objects so you cannot start the program directly, e.g. with a double-cklick on the icon. Drag/drop the template on a place you want to, you can edit the name of the new object, but you must not edit the extension of the name! (".OWF"). Done so you may open the object with a double-click, a dialog to create/import projects appears, follow the online-help to import/create a project. If you have completed the dialog you should read the online-manual (menu: HELP/ GENERAL HELP) first and follow the instructions to setup the editor and your development-tools in the menu (Program setup in the online-manual). 4. Restrictions in the shareware-version ---------------------------------------- There are follwing restrictions in the shareware-version: - time limit of four weeks to test/use - the class browser/parser parses/shows only ten classes (from this reason you may not see the derivation of your classes correctly) 5. License ---------- Unzipping the files you agree with the following license for the Object Workframe (OWF): - Redistribution and use in source and binary forms, with or without modification, are permitted provided that the following conditions are met: *Redistributions of any files must retain the above copyright notice, this list of conditions and the following disclaimer. *You are not allowed to sell or commercially distribute the OWF or any part of it.
