3.0 Chapter 3. Installation of OpenDoc for OS/2

OpenDoc for OS/2 Version 1.0 is available in The Developer Connection for OS/2 Volume 9 Special Edition. This chapter describes how to install OpenDoc for OS/2 Version 1.0 on your PC using The Developer Connection for OS/2 Volume 9 Special Edition.

The Developer Connection for OS/2 Volume 9 consists of a set of six CD-ROMs. Four of these correspond to OS/2 whereas the other two are for LAN systems.

The Developer Connection for OS/2 Volume 9 Special Edition is a set of CD-ROMs that consist of two replacement CD-ROMs for the ones shipped in The Developer Connection for OS/2 Volume 9 plus one extra CD-ROM containing FixPak 17 (XR_W017) for OS/2 Warp.

These two replacement CD-ROMs contain OpenDoc for OS/2 Version 1.0. You need to replace the CD-ROMs labelled disc 3 and disc 4 from the original The Developer Connection for OS/2 Volume 9 package with disc 3 and disc 4 of The Developer Connection for OS/2 Volume 9 Special Edition.

You will only need disc 3 from The Developer Connection for OS/2 Volume 9 Special Edition to install all the OpenDoc related products described in this book.
