This utility works on all platforms.
For OpenDoc, the part editors are delivered to users in the form of an ODZ package file. On Windows and OS/2, an ODZ file is simply a 32-bit, self-extracting zip file that has predefined content that is understood by the registration tool. On AIX, the ODZ file is a tar file.
odinst [-q]. filename.odz
The filename for OpenDoc is partEd.
Note:
This utility depends on the following environment variables being set: ODCFG, ODPARTS, TMP, ODBASE, and SOMBASE. With the exception of TMP, these variables are set by the OpenDoc and SOM install programs.
