Welcome to the Online Document Authoring System (ODAS) version 1.0 - Standard Edition. This is a shareware version of the ODAS product. The ODAS program is a CASE tool for OS/2 IPF online documents. The ODAS program helps you generate OS/2 IPF online document source files. You do not need knowledge of the OS/2 IPF Tag Language in order to produce IPF online documents using the ODAS program. This shareware version of the ODAS program is a Microsoft Windows 3.X application program and therefore must be run in the Microsoft Windows or Win-OS/2 session environments. The files in the ODAS1OS.ZIP are set up for an automated installation or SETUP in either the Microsoft Windows or the Win-OS/2 Program Manager. If the file (ODAS10S.ZIP) is unzipped, and all of the files copied to a disk in drive A, to install from the Program Manager simply choose File, Run, A:SETUP.EXE. The installation is then completely automated via the SETUP program. You can run the SETUP.EXE program from any disk or directory, just use the Browse feature to locate SETUP.EXE. A sample document (DDF) is included which describes parts of the ODAS program. When you run the ODAS program choose File, Open to open the ODAS.DDF file. To read text for document topics double-click on the topic in the Document Topic Structure list box. You can press the Generate push button, save the file, and then run it through the OS/2 IPF compiler: IPFC ODAS.DAT /INF /S /X /W to create a .INF file which can then be read through the IPF Viewer. If you need to reach the author for any reason call: (813) 378-3760 and ask for Doug Bebber.
