═══ 1. Change Password ═══ Change Password should be used to change your password on multiple OS/2 LAN Server domains or to check your password age on multiple OS/2 LAN Server domains. Programs and data may exist on many different domains on the LAN. To make accessing all these programs and data easier, it is suggested that your password on each of the domains you use always be the same. Change Password makes this task easier because it allows you to check your password age or change your password on multiple domains simultaneously. Change Password is easy to use and has context sensitive help for all items in all its windows. If you are confused about any item in a window, whether a button, or list box, or whatever, simply select it with the tab key and press F1 to get help about it. Help is available for the following items: Actions Options Help Check Password Age Change Password Domain(s)/Service(s) Userid Old Password New Password New Password (Again) ═══ 2. Edit Domain List ═══ By default Change Password lets you work with the current logon domain. You can add other domains to be worked with to the list of domains. Following is a list of all the items in the Edit Domain List dialog: Add entry field Add button Delete Domain list OK Cancel Help Add or delete domains from the list as desired then press the OKbutton to exit and save your changes. Press the Cancel button to leave without making changes. ═══ 2.1. Actions ═══ The Actions pull-down contains action type menu items. ═══ 2.2. Select all domains ═══ Select this to automatically select or highlight all the domains in the list so that an action can be performed against them. ═══ 2.3. Deselect all domains ═══ Select this to automatically deselect or unhighlight all the domains in the list. ═══ 2.4. Edit domain list... ═══ Select this to work with the list of domains. This allows you to add or delete domains to the list. ═══ 2.5. Exit ═══ Select this to exit Change Password. ═══ 2.6. Options ═══ The Options pull-down contains options type menu items. ═══ 2.7. Show/Hide help text ═══ Select this to toggle the state of the dynamic help text at the bottom of the Change Password window. You can either hide or show the help text depending on its current state. ═══ 2.8. Help ═══ The Help pull-down contains helpful menu items to be selected for getting information about Change Password. ═══ 2.9. About... ═══ Select this to get Change Password version information. ═══ 2.10. Check Password Age ═══ Select this button to check the age of the userid specified on all selected domains. ═══ 2.11. Change Password ═══ Select this button to change the password of the userid specified on all selected domains. For this to work, you must first fill all the entry fields. ═══ 2.12. Domain(s)/Service(s) ═══ This list contains domains and/or services. The domains are at the top of the list and will always contain the current logon domain. ═══ 2.13. Userid ═══ Enter or change the OS/2 LAN Server userid to work with here. ═══ 2.14. Old Password ═══ When changing a userid password, enter the current or old password here. ═══ 2.15. New Password ═══ When changing a userid password, enter the new password here. ═══ 2.16. New Password (Again) ═══ When changing a userid password, enter the new password here again as a confirmation. ═══ 2.17. Add entry field ═══ To add a domain to the list, first enter its name in this entry field. ═══ 2.18. Add button ═══ To add the domain specified in the Add entry field press this button. ═══ 2.19. Delete ═══ To delete the domain selected in the list press this button. ═══ 2.20. Domain list ═══ This list contains all the domains that you have told Change Password about. Select domains to be deleted from this list one at a time, then press the delete button. ═══ 2.21. OK ═══ Once done working with the domain list, press the OK button to exit and save your changes. ═══ 2.22. Cancel ═══ Press the Cancel button to leave without making changes to the domain list. ═══ 2.23. Help ═══ Press the help button for more detailed help.
