This means that you can use the program for a limited time (21 days) before you decide whether you want to keep it. If you want to continue using Syslevel Editor after that time you are expected to register it. The registered version (which you will be sent when you register) is more uptodate, removes the sticky windows, but is otherwise identical to (or better than) the evaluation version. Commandline options ═══ SyslevelEditor does recognize the following Commandline options: Option Description -s Silent mode. The SyslevelEditor will not scan for syslevel files during startup. Pulldown Choice - Create ═══ Activating this action will bring up the dialog Create Syslevel. ═══ 8.1.2. Pulldown Choice - Rescan ═══ After activating this option, SyslevelEditor will reread all syslevel files found on your system. ═══ 8.1.4. Pulldown Choice - Dump ═══ This option will dump the entire syslevel definition to the file HWISLEVL.DMP. ═══ 8.2. Actionbar Choice - Help ═══ ═══ 8.2.1. Pulldown Choice - General Help ═══ Shows General help. ═══ 8.2.2. Pulldown Choice - About ═══ Shows the Aboutbox. ═══ 8.2.3. Pulldown Choice - Register ═══ This choice is only available, if this product is not registered. Activating this action will bring up the dialog Register Shareware. ═══ 9. Container ═══ The container does contain the neccessary syslevel component related information. More information is shown on the dialog Change Syslevel. ═══ 9.1. Syslevel ═══ This column shows the name of the Syslevel Component. ═══ 9.2. Filename ═══ This column will contain the full qualified filename of this Syslevel component. ═══ 9.3. Size ═══ The size of the Syslevel file. ═══ 9.4. Date ═══ The date of the Syslevel file. ═══ 9.5. Time ═══ The timestamp of the Syslevel file. ═══ 10. Dialogs ═══ ═══ 10.1. Dialog - Create/Change Syslevel ═══ This dialog will be used to create new and to change and view existing Syslevel information. ═══ 10.1.1. Entryfield - Filename ═══ This field does contain the full qualified filename of the Syslevel module. If you create a new Syslevel file, please enter the full qualified name of the new Syslevel file. You can use the Pushbutton Search to easily navigate thru your drive and directory tree on the Save As dialog. If you view or change an existing Syslevel file, this Entryfield will be disabled. Under rare conditions the Syslevel files are in-use by the Operating System and you will receive an file open error. Please enter a different location for the changed Syslevel file and copy it later. ═══ 10.1.2. Pushbutton - Search ═══ This Pushbutton allows to easily navigate thru your drive and directory tree with the help of the Save As dialog. If you entered this combination dialog in Change or View mode, this Pushbutton is disabled. ═══ 10.1.3. Entryfield - Date ═══ Please enter the product date. ═══ 10.1.4. Entryfield - SYS Id ═══ This is a number that is assigned to each product that is supported for service. The System Id is a 4-digit hex number (e.g. C010). Several System Ids are predefined by IBM and will show up in the Static field beside when leaving the Entryfield. ═══ 10.1.5. Entryfield - System ═══ This is the translated name of the system. You can enter any valid alphanumeric string of up to 80 characters. ═══ 10.1.6. Entryfield - Component ═══ This is a 8-digit number that represents sub-products. ═══ 10.1.7. Entryfield - Type ═══ This field contains an optional alphanumeric string of up to 8 characters. This field is only used by the OS/2 vs2.0 version of SYSLEVEL.EXE. The OS/2 vs1.3 SYSLEVEL.EXE will ignore this field. ═══ 10.1.8. Combobox - System Edition ═══ This Combobox allows a choice of up to four entries:  OS/2 Standard Edition  OS/2 Extended Edition  OS/2 Extended Services  Other Please use Other for all your own products. ═══ 10.1.9. Entryfield - Maj(or) ═══ A complete release description can contain up to four parts. They are called as follows:  Major Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Minor Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Modification Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Refresh Level (3-digit, 0 - 256) This will generate a maximum release description of 256.256.256.256. This Entryfield will contain the Major Version. ═══ 10.1.10. Entryfield - Min(or) ═══ A complete release description can contain up to four parts. They are called as follows:  Major Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Minor Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Modification Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Refresh Level (3-digit, 0 - 256) This will generate a maximum release description of 256.256.256.256. This Entryfield will contain the Minor Version. ═══ 10.1.11. Entryfield - Mod(ify) ═══ A complete release description can contain up to four parts. They are called as follows:  Major Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Minor Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Modification Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Refresh Level (3-digit, 0 - 256) This will generate a maximum release description of 256.256.256.256. They are called as follows:  Major Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Minor Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Modification Version (3-digit, 0 - 256)  Refresh Level (3-digit, 0 - 256) This will generate a maximum release description of 256.256.256.256. This Entryfield will contain the Refresh Level. ═══ 10.1.13. Entryfield - CSD Prefix ═══ A complete CSD (Corrective Service Diskette) contains four parts. They are called as follows:  CSD Prefix (2-digit, AA - ZZ)  Country (1-digit)  CSD Suffix (4-digit, 0 - 9999)  Underscore This will generate a CSD name like XRG3000_. The current Entryfield will contain the CSD Prefix. ═══ 10.1.14. Combobox - Country ═══ A complete CSD (Corrective Service Diskette) contains four parts. They are called as follows:  CSD Prefix (2-digit, AA - ZZ)  Country (1-digit)  CSD Suffix (4-digit, 0 - 9999)  Underscore This will generate a CSD name like XRG3000_. The Combobox allows to select a Country as the second part of the CSD name. ═══ 10.1.15. Entryfield - CSD Suffix (Current) ═══ A complete CSD (Corrective Service Diskette) contains four parts. They are called as follows:  CSD Prefix (2-digit, AA - ZZ)  Country (1-digit)  CSD Suffix (4-digit, 0 - 9999)  Underscore This will generate a CSD name like XRG3000_. This Entryfield will contain the current CSD Suffix. ═══ 10.1.16. Entryfield - CSD Suffix (Previous) ═══ A complete CSD (Corrective Service Diskette) contains four parts. They are called as follows:  CSD Prefix (2-digit, AA - ZZ)  Country (1-digit)  CSD Suffix (4-digit, 0 - 9999)  Underscore This will generate a CSD name like XRG3000_. Entryfield - Open filename ═══ You can enter a full qualified filename or a filename containing global search characters in this entryfield. ═══ 10.3.2. Combobox - Type of file ═══ This combobox will contain the types of files you are searching for. ═══ 10.3.3. Combobox - Drive ═══ Select a drive out of the choice of existing drives. The Listboxes Directory and File will be updated immediately. ═══ 10.3.4. Listbox - File ═══ Double click on a filename in this listbox to open the selected file. ═══ 10.3.5. Listbox - Directory ═══ Double click on a directory in this listbox to change the current search location. The listbox File will be updated immediately. ═══ 10.3.6. Pushbutton - Ok ═══ Activating this pushbutton will create a new or open an existing file. ═══ 10.3.7. Pushbutton - Cancel ═══ Activating this pushbutton will leave the current dialog. ═══ 10.3.8. Pushbutton - Help ═══ Shows help for the selected dialog element. ═══ 10.4. Dialog - Register Shareware ═══ This dialog is only available if this product is not registered. ═══ 10.4.1. Entryfield Registername ═══ Please enter the name you got from the author of this package. ═══ 10.4.2. Entryfield Registercode ═══ Please enter the code you got from the author of this package. ═══ 10.4.3. Pushbutton - Ok ═══ Starts to register the product. If this action is successfull, the titlebar of the application will change. The word "Unregistered" will disappear. This is true for the pulldown choice Register too. ═══ 10.4.4.
