Bonus Readme.txt This is my first Windows interfaced program, and as you can tell it is still rough around the edges. Basically all you do is type in your rate, plan day for M - F and your paid day, then you can type in your union dues and deductions from your check and verify that you were paid correctly. Later on I plan to implement an option for different work codes throughout the same day, etc...! Some other ideas are to have a sick day and floater day counter, so you can check up on it yourself. This will entail learning disk I/O and saving procedures, something that as of yet I haven't learned. If you have any ideas, suggestions, complaints, questions or you just wanna talk, email me: anglico@ix.netcom.com Please put Bonus in the subject line so I can read it right away, I am curious to see how everybody likes it. Thank you!!!!! Known Bugs: None. Purpose of this program: The Bonus program was written to check your paycheck on a weekly basis. If you have taken a look at your paycheck and said " What is this?" or " Did I get paid correctly?". The problem is compounded when you're working in a Bonus Center. Although I dont believe the company shorts checks or makes mistakes on purpose, a company this size is bound to make a mistake now and then. This file will briefly explain the processes in which the program was intended. Entering the Plan Day: All you need to do is enter your planned day off the WOR. An example of the format is ( 8.25 or 8 or 8.01 ). When you have done the whole work week, it will automatically take you to the Paid day section. If you were sick one or more days, just enter in your guarenteed hours: ie: ( 8 ). It's that simple. Entering the Paid Day: All you need to do is enter your paid day ( minus your lunch ). You could do this one of two ways: Get it off the WOR or what you write down as a start and Finish time. An example of the format is ( 8.25 or 8 or 8.01 ). When you have done the whole work week, it will automatically take you to the Union Dues section. If you were sick one or more days, just enter in your guarenteed hours: ie: ( 8 ). It's that simple. Half Time: This is by the Bonus Plan I got. It says to divide the Average Hourly Rate by 2 to determine Half time pay for overtime. Deductions: This is where you will need to add up all your deductions and put the total amount in this field. The Deductions are taxes, 401(k), alimony, etc...! Anything that subtracts from your Gross pay. Once finished with this step you should have the amount of your paycheck, if not, talk to your supervisor for an adjustment or correction. Readme / Updates: This is for those wishing to read about why the program was made. First of all, I am a driver and have seen the paychecks each week. 'Nuf said on that. Second, I want to program as a hobby or side job, maybe F/T job, so what better way to start than a Dialog Box based program. REGISTRATION is $10 US Dollars You will be notified of future program updates and will get them for free, Please support the shareware community by registering your software. Updates and future releases: I plan on continuing the program so that it will eventually include: The option to Print Part Time or Full Time Option day / Sick day tracking Multiple code days (shouldn't be too far off.) saving to disk Saturday and Sunday work ( Article 40 / Air Drivers ) Please send any comments, questions, suggestions and registrations to: Michael Fling 5100 Coe Avenue Space 192 Seaside, CA 93955 E-mail: anglico@ix.netcom.com I will answer them the best I can. This program was based off the Bonus Pay sheet I was given in 1996, any updates or changes and I will reflect them in the program's future. I am not sure if every center that does do Bonus works it the same way, I think they all do, but if not email me and I will see if I can code it specifically to a region etc...! So before yelling bloody murder, check with your supervisor, and make sure they all work the same!!!
