This all appears transparently to the user - all they have to do is drag the icon, or select a drive from the menu and Backup does the rest.
In addition, there is an option to prevent renaming of backup discs (something you don't want to do with a hard disc), and an option to save script files on each disc so that they can be identified easily. If a backup disc is not blank, a window will appear showing its contents, so that you know what you will loose if you choose to erase it.
The status display has also been considerably improved, and now has a progress bar, which can be set to display graphically how far the backup has proceeded, either in terms of the progress of the whole backup, or of the individual file currently being backed up. This status display can be turned off to speed the backup up.
To speed the backup up further, there is a fast mode which suspends the desktop to allow HardBack to concentrate on the backup. This is useful if you want HardBack to do a backup while you doing something else.
