New in this version is support for Object Rexx (DrlifeO.exe). Patterns for C.A.'s can be in Life1.05, run length encoded (RLE), or ascii formats. Patterns can be modified before being run, and can be selected from a file, a pattern stored as a string of 0 & 1's, or a pattern entered from the keyboard. While running the pattern, you can pause and single-step the execution, or stop at a certain generation. Patterns larger than 62,000 cells can be viewed in sections which are selectable by marquee mouse marking the pattern graphic. All Life-like rules, Binary 1d rules, and Margolus rules are supported. Cell neighborhoods of 8, 9, 4 and 5 cells are built into the program, and other cell neighborhoods can be defined in a config file. A number of public patterns are included. Source code for use with DrDialog is included. Runs on: OS/2 version 4.5 Requires: REXX or ORexx, RexxLib, RexxIni, RxGdUtil, DrDialog-Controls (all included) Contact: Stan Pokorney (pokorney@insightbb.com) drlife_1_0.zip 1358652 2006/12/14 pari-gp-230.zip 2966569 2006/06/07 PARI/GP Number Theory-oriented Computer Algebra System, version 2.3.0 (stable) Long desc: OS/2 EMX -Zmtd build of PARI/GP v2.3.0 "calculator" executable and C library (optimized for number theory-oriented calculations). Supports readline and plotting via Gnuplot low-level engines. Requires: Requires readline.dll; plotting requires gnuplot engine DLL, DLLs it depends on, and PM plotting executables (all included). Runs on: OS/2 Warp 3.0 and above Requires: EMX runtime Source: http://www.math.u-psud.fr/~belabas/pari.html solver152.zip 85729 2002/12/10 Plots functions, solves equations, and more. Long desc: This apparently "orphan" program, incomplete, still is useful. It plots functions, solves equations, finds derivatives and integrates functions I tracked down the author, Gregory Shrago, who permitted me to place his program (now with source!) on Hobbes. Hopefully, someone will continue its development. A portion of the "readme" follows. __________________________________________ _________ *Function Analyzer AKA Solver* Runs on: OS/2; tested on Warp-3, Warp-4, and CP-1. You can retrain this with this program. It is not the computer who does the work, but here you will be presented little math calculations that you have to solve.
