No, it is CON: that's opening the window (I'm using 3-4 external programs, one
of which is one of my own, and doesn't write to the console at all).
Each of the external programs takes commandline parameters, and I wonder if this
is something to do with it.
Besides, as I said in an earlier mail, I have to wait for some of the externals
to return, which means I can't use >NIL: for those anyway.
It's starting to look like I'll have to put up with it.
