Yes, but what are the chances of a CD-R being usable in 999 years?
Regardless of whether its damaged or not, and assuming that we are all still
around come 3000, what are the chances that our technology will allow us to
read 999 year old CD-R's?
Theres a difference between text on a page and data on media. One will
become obsolete, and one won't.
And that in itself could raise an argument - but I really don't think that
books are likely to become obsolete.

Windows didn't do anything of the sort :)
It amazes me, that if a PC user was to flame the AmigaOS on a PC list, and
an Amiga user (zealot?) caught sight of it, all hell'd break loose. Yet
Amiga users (zealots?) do exactly the same on their lists. You could argue
that we know we are right - but are we?
