I don't give a toss what your silly political views are on the current
holders of the PC market: Microsoft stuff works here, Intel stuff works
here, and for about the last 3, Amiga stuff certainly hasn't cut the
mustard for anything I've wanted to do.
Not without serious expenditure - say around the ~£1200 mark. Now,
I started my own business and bought myself a f**king great PC for
applications, being on the internet and generally being quite good.
What's my Amiga doing? The same, but I'm constantly bashing my head
against the table at how f**king slow it is at doing anything: I'd kill
for the chance to be able to compile Voyager 68k on my PC rather than
have to wait 15 minutes for it to build on my Amiga - and possibly nuke
during generating dependencies due to how shitty ixemul.library is and
always will be.
Are Amiga doing ANYTHING that helps my situation?
No, they're off making PDA game development kits and an OS I can't
run without.. ooh, lets see, £800 of expenditure. So it's cheaper now,
but I could get myself a 1GHz box for that and run something like
QNX where I *could* feasibly cross-compile my applications.

Amiga doesn't quite fit into it, and how many many people will simply
