AIM does work, but has one significant problem.....AOL knows that
you're accessing their servers via some 3rd party client, and keep
disconnecting you - which can be extremely annoying. Also, if you use
the ICQ client, and run StrICQ as well, you will find StrICQ gets put
offline after a small peiod of time - at least I did inmy experience
yesterday, although I have reason to belive that was down to the ICQ
network at least being very dodgy for me then - since I had trouble
connecting for about 3 hours :/

I haven't tried MSN at all or the other chat modes, but it does take a
lot more getting used to how jabber works than by directly using other
ports like StrICQ/AIM etc.
