He maybe heard that Amiga specific compilers (e.g. Storm C3, Hisoft)
aren't very good for C++. From what I can remember hearing on various
mailing lists, they all seem to have problems with specific parts of
C++ (STL incompatibilities, namespace problems).
GCC should be OK, and so is Storm C4 (as it is based on GCC).
