The problems have been sorted now thanks to everyones help.
For reference, this is what I had to do.
Click on the "forgotten password" button on the website,
Wait for the e-mail with an autorization code in it.
Use the link proided in the e-mail and enter the authorization number onto
the website.
Sign up a new account with DIFFERENT user-id.
And this got back my settings.
