Not unless the device name is the same as the volume name.

See above. Workbench will access a drive through either volume of device names.
i.e. format a floppy and you can use either device name -
cd df0:
or volume name
cd empty:
- both will work. This is a good reason for giving your hard drive device
partitions names like IDH0: and IDH1: instead of System: or Work: By all means
call your volume names System: or Work: though.
I should note though, that I ignore my own advice on my system's main disk ;-)
