HI,
Has anyone else had trouble with AmIRC smearing on the workbench ?
My GFX setup is Bvision via CGX4.2b8 running wb 3.9.1 on a 1024x768x32 screen.
what happens is quite often when a requester opens ontop of amirc for whatever reason
such as dcc send, then when this window is closed some of is left ontop of amirc
will its own window updated it merges into what was there before hand making a bit of a mess.
Also dragging a window through amirc tends to make it smear across the screen.
Sometimes i can get to the iconify buton which is often transparent at this stage, to close and reopen the window to resume operaton.
If this is not dont with in about 30secs then the sys is sure to crash especially if another requester opens.
I have no major gfx patches running or intution patches such as vprefs and very few options in mcp (it still happens without mcp).
I cant think how to solve it, and currently think amirc is hacking inuition somehow to make this happen. On its happened to Amirc, it slows down the machine slightly and it can
happen to anyother app there after (Although this rarly happens, Makecd is most effected)
any insite on this would be greatful
