Subject:endlessly validating disk issue

OK, anyone got any ideas here?

I have now 2 Amigas with this problem and can't guess for a
solution. basically it's an 'endlessly validating' partition that
will shortly lock the computer after booting.

I cannot get at it with Quarterback or DiskSalv because the computer
locks before you get anywhere with either. I cannot do the same from
just a command prompt boot for the same reason. If I disable the
partition in the early startup screen, then I can't get at the
partitions at all with any disk tools because they
aren't 'activated'. the other partitions are fine and the computer
(s) both boot fine when the 'validating' one is deactivated at early-
startup, but the 'validating' partition is needed, this is no fix.

Any thoughts?
