I think this is true of all CPU run SCSI devices? (IDE too?) DMA
devices (on accelerator cards etc.) shouldn't have this problem (my
BPPC doesnt anyway :)

Surely it shouldn't access the cd.device unless you've set it in your
CD0: device?
