Gayle Ross

The direct descendent of Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation, John Ross, Gayle carries her heritage proudly.


Known world wide as a storyteller in the Native American tradition, Ms. Ross has earned several awards including the “CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE” award from the National Storyteller’s association. She has entertained in the Vice-President’s home, performed before the President of the United States, and other heads of state.

An incredibly animated storyteller, Gayle creates spellbound moments in which audiences of thousands feel as though Gayle is speaking to each one of them personally, up close. She draws mental pictures that stay with the listener forever.
Gayle is also the author of 5 books, and two audio recordings. Her stories have fascinated children and adults at all corners of the earth. She has toured with the Plains to Pueblo Native Arts series, performed with Peter Buffett on the 500 Nations tour, and has shared stages with nearly every Native performing artist there is.
