Homogenous: The New Album out in September

Source: One Little Indian - Bj÷rk Web sense
Date of issue: 03-06-97

Web sense the official Bj÷rk Website announced today that Bj÷rk's third solo album (after she stopped with the Sugarcubes) is out in September ! Here's the info:

Bj÷rk has spent the best part of 1997 recording a new album, whose working title is

HOMOGENOUS

with a tentative release date of September 1997. Cover art will again be by Paul White at Me Company, the cover photography by Nick Knight with styling by Alexander McQueen. Finishing touches are currently being made to the last couple of tracks, with Bj÷rk currently recording in New York with RZA from Wu Tang Clan.

Bj÷rk will then be touring, starting in September with some very small (300 capacity) UK & European shows. The tour will then move on to the USA through October and South America in November, before winding down in November / December with a few select UK shows. The full UK and European tour will start in February 1998, with the rest of the world to follow shortly thereafter.

The shows will feature a new band, including an eight-piece string section and Mark Bell from L.F.O.

The live show that took place in February at the London Shepherd's Bush Empire, before an invited audience of Fan Club members, was filmed (as those of you that
were there are no doubt aware of) and will hopefully be released on Video towards the end of this year.
