Homogenic
vs Jamboree & HFSitival |
If
you were hoping to catch Bj÷rk at an upcoming radio
festival show, you better set your sights elsewhere. The
Icelandic singer has pulled out of the Q101 Jamboree, set
for this Saturday at the World Theatre in Tinley Park,
Illinois as well as the HFStival May 31 in Washington,
D.C.'s RFK Stadium. The singer is way behind schedule in recording her next album, and could not take the time away from the studio to perform. According to her spokesperson, Bj÷rk does feel a moral commitment to the Tibetan Freedom Concert, and will fly in to New York City to play on June 8. After sharing the bill with Radiohead, Sonic Youth, Pavement and others, the singer will fly right back to the recording studio. Bj÷rk hopes to have her new album ready by September, but she hasn't even begun to mix it yet. |
