Soldier's monument stands on a hill over the Great Miami River. On top is a soldier facing the courthouse. A woman used to be facing him but now the woman is gone.
The building is circular and the soldier stands on a platform. In front on either side of the door their are two small cannons that don't shoot anymore. On one side of the building there is an old log cabin that was built many years ago. There is also names of historical people carved into the sidewalk. Some are names of famous indian chiefs others are of settlers who founded Hamilton.

The Firehouse

The firehouse next to our school is part of our Hamilton skyline. It's a large building made of maroon and yellow bricks. On the top of the firehouse there is a dark yellow horn. On every first Wednesday of each month we have a tornado drill because the horn sounds on the first Wednesday of every month. Surrounding the horn is a yellow brick in the shape of a square. There are brown shingles then light brown brick. The windows are surrounded by yellow brick. The firehouse helps many people and is just a small part of our Hamilton skyline.

The Post Office

This post office is located in downtown HAMILTON!.IT is next to the police station and the court house. A lot of people go there everyday to send mail. The post office is used to send mail and also it can be used to go and pick up packages. The post office is very important because if we did not have post offices we would not be able to send letters to friends and pay bills. We could not send letters to friends that live far away and you do not get to see them a lot. Communication is very important to the world. The post Office handles about 100,000 pieces of mail every day. About 150 people work there. There are also three branch post offices in the HAMILTON! and Fairfield area. The post office is very helpful.
