The Communications Division of the Mpumalanga Parks Board has a vacancy for a suitably qualified and experienced person for the above Nelspruit based post. The post has a diverse range of functions all orientated towards establishing a synergetic relationship between the Board and its wide constituency base. In particular to inform the public of the Board's role and activities in conservation and to keep managment informed of the issues which concern the public. The post will require public speaking and attendance at a variety of fora including media days and exhibitions
The post requires close liaison with the other sections of the Division, ( media, interpretation programme planning and public relations), as well as frequent liaison with other Divisions in the Board.
Candidates would normally be expected to have at least a three year post matric conservation qualification and at least seven years experience in a conservation field in which they have dealt with the public.
Good communications skills are essential.
