CHARGED LASER PRINTOUT SERVICES IN USE

Procedure is as follows:

1. User pays for a number of pages at ZIRAAT BANKASI ODTU SUBESI with acount number 304230/48-2. User should supply his/her username and hostname (rorqual or nawhal) to the staff.

2. The bank returns to user 2 copies of the dekont.

3. User comes to CC (Computer Center) with this copies, and applies to Gulsum Aygun, B-Blok 1. floor No: 109, and gives one copy of the dekont to her. After than the quota , paid for, will be active in one day. To be sure that it is activated wait for the acknowladging mail.

• To print postscript files use "lpr" command.

• To print text files use "enscript" command.

• To see the queue status use "lpq -P center" command

• To remove a print job, if not printed yet use "lpjobrm <jobno>" command.

• You get your job number via "lpq -P center" command.

Examples:

• lpr -P center myhomework.ps

• lpr -P center kapak.ps index.ps sunu.ps

• enscript -d center myhomework.txt

• enscript -d center hw1.txt results.txt

• lpq -P center

• lpjobrm 387

• enscript -d center -2r myhomework.txt (prints two pages in to one)

NOTE-2: To print from WINDOWS you should print your jobs to FILE in POSTSCRIPT format. Then transfer the output file to rorqual or narwhal. Use above commands explaining "How to print from UNIX". You can get Windows Printer Drivers from
