• Help is now available for plant and animal names when querying the ERIN database. Maps of species distributions from the ERIN database can now be queried by pointing and clicking.
• The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) is now on the World Wide Web
  
• The Library area has been completely revamped.
  
• The Endangered and Vulnerable Species area of the Web has been restructured with lots of new documents added. These include the Green Kids Guide to Endangered Species, On the brink! (Newsletter of the Australian Endangered Species Program), and lots of information on Threats to Australia's endangered species. These threats include Cats which have had considerable impacts on Native Wildlife, Feral animals and introduced wild animals.
