How to get (from outside the Netherlands) to the region

By plane:
If you travel by plane you will most likely arrive at Schiphol airport, near Amsterdam. From there you can take a taxi (quite expensive), rent a car, and follow your reading below at 'by car' or take the train and follow your reading at 'by train'.

By train:
If you travel by train you need to take a ticket to the 'Ede-Wageningen' railway station. Further explanation follows in the next session on 'how to get from the region to Wageningen'

By car:
If you travel by car, you can see the names of the roads to follow on the next map. We have put the main highways, their numbers and the big cities you will pass on the map. Just click on the map of the netherlands, or here.

How to get from the region to Wageningen

By train + traintaxi from all directions:
Take a train to the 'Ede-Wageningen' railway station and then a 'train taxi' (South side of the station) to your location. Holders of a train ticket can purchase a train taxi ticket (Dfl. 5,-) from either the station of departure, or in Wageningen.
By train + bus from all directions:
Take a train to the 'Ede-Wageningen' railway station and then bus 83 or 84 from the North side of the station to your location. You can purchase bus 'strippenkaarten' at the railroad ticket office and on many other places. In the bus itself they are more expensive. If you know the dutch name of your location, the driver can tell you where to get out. If you want to know the dutch name of the location you want to visit, use the map of Wageningen.
By train + Interliner 336 from all directions:
Take a train to the 'Ede-Wageningen' railway station and then the Interliner bus from the North side of the station to your location. For information about tickets and stops click here.

By car from the west, the north or the east:

Wageningen can be reached by taking the 'Ede-Wageningen' exit from the A12 highway. Follow the signs 'Wageningen' and at the fourth trafficlight you have reached the outskirts of Wageningen.
By car from the south:
Wageningen can be reached by taking the 'Renkum-Oosterbeek-Wageningen' exit from the A50 highway. Follow the sign 'Wageningen' at the exit and drive straight on. After 2 traffic lights you enter Wageningen.
