Terms and Conditions

  1. UUNET exercises no control whatsoever over the content of the information passing through it. UUNET makes no warranties of any kind, whether expressed or implied, for the service it is providing. UUNET also disclaims any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. UUNET will not be responsible for any damage you suffer. This includes the loss of data resulting from delays, nondeliveries, misdeliveries, or service interruptions caused by its own negligence or your errors or omissions. Use of any information obtained via UUNET is at your own risk. UUNET specifically denies any responsibility for the accuracy or quality of information obtained through its services.
  2. UUNET Canada may only be used for lawful purposes. Transmission of any material in violation of any Canadian or provincial regulation is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to: copyrighted material, material legally judged to be threatening or obscene, or material protected by trade secret. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless UUNET from any claims resulting from your use of the service which damages you or another party.
  3. Any access to other networks connected to UUNET must comply with the rules appropriate for that other network. This specifically, but not exclusively, includes NSFNET. Use of UUNET itself may be for any lawful purpose. Use of UUNET for lawful commercial purposes is both permitted and encouraged.
  4. Payment Terms: On receipt of monthly statement, holder shall pay the new balance in full. If the new balance is not paid in full, a credit charge is added. The credit charge rate is eighteen percent (18%) per annum, compounded monthly, (being approximately 19.56% annually) on the balance outstanding. No credit is assessed if payment of the full balance is received within 21 days of the statement date. In Quebec, this date is 21 days from the mailing date. In case of default in payment all monies owing will become due and payable at UUNET Canada's option. UUNET Canada reserves the right to restrict, suspend or cancel account at any time.
  5. Service is invoiced monthly and may be cancelled in writing with 60 days notice with no penalty. UUNET Canada reserves the right to change the rates and otherwise modify these Terms and Conditions by notifying you 60 days in advance of the effective date of the change.
  6. These Terms and Conditions supercede all previous representations, understandings or agreements and shall prevail notwithstanding any variance with terms and conditions of any order submitted. Use of UUNET Canada constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
