Publications from The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew has an active publishing programme designed to make our work available to the world.

Kew Scientist is a widely-distributed newsletter which allows those with a general interest in botany to keep in touch with work in progress. It also provides contact points for those interested in collaboration or in obtaining further information.

Kew Bulletin is our scientific journal, primarily taxonomic, but also including work in other fields relevant to taxonomy.

Botanic Gardens Micropropagation News is a journal for the publication of papers concerning micropropagation of rare and endangered species and related subjects.

Kew Record is a listing of taxonomic literature relating to vascular plants. It began in 1971 and continues as a quarterly publication. At present it is available only in printed form but will shortly be on-line through Bath Information and Data Services

We also publish books containing work produced at Kew and, to a limited extent, elsewhere. Most of these are taxonomic, but fields such as economic botany, plant anatomy, palynology and biography are also covered. One or more volumes reporting the proceedings of conferences held at Kew are usually published each year. These publications, as well as other books reporting work done at Kew, are listed in the Scientific Publications Catalogue
