Mathematical and Statistical Advice and Problem Solving: NAG are world leaders in providing efficient, reliable and portable software, and have been for over 25 years. NAG employs recognised experts in many fields of mathematics and statistics, and collaborates with many more.
Provision of Bespoke Software in Fortran(77 & 90) and C: NAG's development teams are available to produce bespoke software, tailor NAG routines to meet your particular needs, either working to a specification or with your development team. We can also develop complete, bespoke packages for a wide range of platforms.
Porting and Improving Fortran Code: NAG's primary development language for a number of years has been Fortran and we are painfully aware that the `standard' is commonly extended; this makes porting a non-trivial exercise. NAG have developed a range of tools for checking and improving Fortran code in order to make the porting exercise easier. These tools provide the basis for this service.
Data Visualisation Service: IRIS Explorer and our Graphics Libraries can be used to excellent effect to visualise your data. If you don't want to spend time learning to use visualisation packages, let us have your data and we'll work with you to help you understand your data (and produce some pretty pictures!)
Bespoke Training Seminars: Training programmes can be arranged for most of our products. Seminars can be tailored to your particular needs and can take place at a suitable location of your choice.
Development of Hardware Specific Intrinsic Functions: NAG have a team of experts who have worked on the provision of hardware specific intrinsic functions in both C and machine code.
Floating Point Validation and Intrinsic Function Testing: NAG's requirement for a large portability base for its software has necessitated the development of software to test the floating point and intrinsic function accuracy of the hardware. Hardware manufacturers can obtain NAG's seal of approval; users can insist on manufacturers obtaining that approval.
Fortran90 Compiler Technology: NAG produced the world's first Fortran90 compiler and it is now a very mature technology which has been used by a number of hardware and software vendors for use in developing their own compilers. In addition, we have used the technology to good effect in producing cross-compilers for specialist architectures.
Fortran90 Tools Technology: The NAG Fortran90 compiler is exceedingly modular and this has enabled the rapid production of a suite of Fortran90 tools. This same technology is available to develop bespoke tools to meet user requirements, from Fortran77 to Fortran90 translation, to systematic parse tree and symbol table modifications.
