The Madsen Building

The Madsen Building is located in the south-eastern corner of the central campus of the University of Sydney, near the City Road gates.

Maps of the Computer Science Department areas of the ground floor and the lower ground floor are available. The Department also occupies rooms on the first floor.

Basser currently shares this building with:

• The Centre for Learning English (ELICOS Centre)
• The Electron Microscope Unit
• The N W G Macintosh Centre for Quaternary Dating
• The Optical Fibre Technology Centre Laboratories
• The School of Chemistry Workshops
• The Student Centre

Wheelchair access to the Madsen building is available through a doorway in the south-western corner of the building, at the lower ground floor level, but only if someone opens the door after the bell is rung. There are lifts in the building, but the doors have to be opened and held manually.
