Some of My Special Interests

* Archeology
Ancient peoples and places have always fascinated me. Here are just a few sites that I have found:
- A Virtual Tour of the Acropolis
- The Canadian Museum of Civilization
- MayaQuest (Check out the Expedition Updates and Images section)
* Arts & crafts
I enjoy the creativity and relaxation of sewing, embroidering and quilting. Painting in watercolours and acrylics used to be another of my hobbies, but I no longer have the space or time. Now I can enjoy the work of others without leaving home!
- The Internet Center for Arts and Crafts Gift Shop
- Implicate Beauty: Computational Art by Brian Evans (This one combines art and science!)
* Astronomy
Yet another one of my hobbies. I try to keep up-to-date with at least major discoveries. This will be so much easier now that I have begun to surf the net. There are some great images to be seen:
- Hubble Telescope Pictures
- The Impact of a fragment of Comet Shoemaker-Levy on Jupiter
- Images of Eclipses (from the library of Rennes' University of France)
- Astronomy and Physics, by University of Maryland

Some Interesting Sites to Discover

* Museum of Paleontology at Berkely
Paleontology involves a lot of the same skills as archeology.
* The Netherlands
One look at my name explains why I like this site.
* The Smithsonian Gem & Mineral Collection
As a child, I used to collect rocks but none of them ever looked like this!
* Science Fiction on Television
Travel through Time and Space.
- Doctor Who
- Star Trek: Deep Space 9
- The Lurker's Guide to Babylon 5
